Senior Quantity Surveyor – Construction / Fit out

Overview

In this role you will drive the commercial delivery of a Birmingham fit-out project for a major contractor. You’ll manage subcontractor relationships, lead tendering, and negotiate contracts to secure resources and skilled personnel. You will source local subcontractors and coordinate with stakeholders, providing accurate commercial reporting. This senior position suits someone with a track record in large fit-out schemes, with potential to advance within the team. You’ll work on healthcare-focused fit-out projects, shaping value and delivery at scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing subcontractor relationships to deliver fit-out projects
• Handle tendering processes to select best-fit subcontractors
• Negotiate contracts (plant, materials, resources, personnel)
• Source local subcontractors
• Collaborate with key stakeholders
• Provide commercial reporting and analysis

Key requirements

• Track record as Quantity Surveyor on large-scale fit-out projects
• Ideally healthcare project experience
• Ability to deliver projects successfully
• Degree education preferred but not essential
