Serious Injury Solicitor – Birmingham or Manchester

Overview

In this role you will join a leading national firm’s Serious Injury team to handle international and cross-border serious injury claims. You will manage a varied caseload across serious and catastrophic injuries, including travel-related and cross-border matters, coordinating with experts, counsel, and insurers. You will conduct legal research, draft documentation, and negotiate settlements while guiding clients through the process with empathy. Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of serious injury and catastrophic injury claims, including employers’ liability, package holiday, aviation, cruise, RTA, clinical negligence and public liability
• Attend Court hearings and conferences with experts and/or counsel
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documentation, and prepare cases for court proceedings
• Negotiate settlements and liaise with insurers, medical experts, and other third parties
• Support clients through the claims process, providing clear advice and empathetic guidance

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor with 1-6 years PQE in serious injury claims (claimant or defendant)
• Experience in travel litigation/cross border claims is desirable but not essential, as training and supervision will be provided
• A compassionate and empathetic approach
• An appetite for business development, with the ability to build successful relationships with a wide range of professionals
