Director, Technical Account Management

Overview

As Senior Manager for TAM in EMEA, you lead and scale a regional TAP team delivering high-touch technical services to strategic customers. You drive TPS program maturity, collaborating with Sales and CS to articulate value and strategy. You empower your team with leadership and technical skills, recruit top talent, and align regional needs with global objectives. You will shape the TPS offering to expand the addressable market while maintaining service quality and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a regional team of TAM leaders and individual contributors to ensure customer success and expansion.
• Coach and onboard new hires, accelerating ramp and capability development.
• Collaborate with regional and global leaders to standardize and tailor the TPS program across regions.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to communicate TPS value proposition and strategy to customers.
• Provide thought leadership for TPS in the EMEA region and propose offering improvements for market impact.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Product Management, Sales Engineering, Support, and Enablement.
• Deliver semi-annual performance reviews and define individual development plans.
• Lead regional OKRs and align them with global vision to execute quarterly goals.

Key requirements

• 5+ years managing or mentoring Professional Services, Sales Engineering, or Support teams
• 1-3+ years in an individual contributor professional services or client-facing role
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to articulate business benefits and technical advantages of Datadog offering
• Willingness to coach others and navigate change
• Proven track record of growing and developing a team
• Knowledge of current infrastructure and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
