Lead Agentic AI Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade generative and agentic AI solutions using Microsoft technologies. You will own architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure scalable, secure, and cost-optimised implementations in enterprise environments. You’ll guide cross-functional teams and engage in pre-sales activities to shape solutions that meet client needs. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering impactful AI capabilities at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own technical solution design and architecture decisions to clarify client requirements
• Act as technical lead, setting implementation approach, standards, and best practices
• Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI and GenAI solutions in enterprise settings
• Lead end-to-end delivery from discovery to handover
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable
• Mentor and grow junior team members to achieve high-quality outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional, agile teams
• Translate business needs into practical AI designs for technical stakeholders
• Support or lead pre-sales activities including solution shaping, estimations, demos, and proposals
• Lead implementation to align with architecture and quality standards

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience building AI solutions and orchestrating agentic workflows
• Experience taking solutions into production-grade, secure, scalable environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Copilot Studio
• Ability to drive technical design decisions and guide engineering teams
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication
• Proven capacity to lead and mentor junior engineers
• Experience in agile environments and cross-functional collaboration
• Capability to contribute to pre-sales activities and technical demos
