Overview

Join KPMG’s Treasury Tax team as a Manager to shape high‑quality technical advice on complex financing, structuring and advisory matters. You will help grow the Treasury Tax capability and work with client teams on major transactions. You’ll partner with colleagues across the UK to deliver practical, commercially focused guidance. This role offers flexible location and high‑impact work at the heart of major deals, with opportunities to accelerate your career in a specialist area of tax.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Corporate Tax teams and clients on UK loan relationships and derivative contracts regimes, including Disregard Regulations and related areas such as Corporate Interest Restriction, Anti-hybrids, Distributions and Withholding Tax.
  • Provide specialist technical input on high‑profile projects, including M&A and deals work, debt restructuring and refinancing, audit engagements, tax authority inquiries and complex tax compliance and advisory matters.
  • Conduct detailed technical research and translate analysis into robust, practical advice for client teams.
  • Build strong relationships with Tax colleagues and other specialists to deliver joined‑up advice on complex matters.
  • Contribute to internal training, technical updates, knowledge-sharing initiatives and development of practical resources for the Corporate Tax practice.
  • Act as a role model for KPMG’s values and promote a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.

Key requirements

  • ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualified, with strong corporate tax and relevant accounting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with the UK loan relationships and derivative contracts regimes (Disregard Regulations) is helpful, with a strong appetite to develop deep expertise.
  • Curious, analytical mindset; ability to research complex technical points using legislation and case law and translate into clear, practical advice.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a commercial approach to problem solving; ability to identify key issues and manage risk.
  • Clear, confident communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, balancing commercial priorities and deadlines.
