Overview

As an Assistant Site Manager on a large residential scheme near Bishops Stortford, you will support the delivery of a 200-unit project for a leading housebuilder. You report to a Senior Site Manager and ensure quality, safety, and on-site coordination across trades. You’ll work within a quality-focused, reputable team to maintain programme and build standards on site. This role offers hands-on experience in a high-profile residential build with clear impact on delivering quality homes.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site coordination for a large residential project (~200 units)
• Assist Senior Site Manager with programme and progress tracking
• Maintain quality standards across construction activities
• Enforce health and safety practices on site
• Coordinate trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow
• Support reporting and site documentation
• Assist with site logistics and materials management
• Support closeout and snagging activities as needed

Key requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Site Manager
• Experience with a reputable housebuilder
• Health & Safety conscious
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualification
• Longevity with previous employers
• Degree qualified or other relative qualifications (preferred)
