Finance Manager FCA regulatory environment

Overview

In this role you will oversee end-to-end finance operations for UK and overseas entities, ensuring timely management reporting and statutory accounting. You will lead compliance tasks including FCA reporting and liaise with auditors, while mentoring the accounting team and collaborating with senior stakeholders. The position sits in a fast-growing, internationally focused digital business and supports efficiency improvements across the UK finance function. You will shape financial processes and contribute to strategic growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end finance operations for in-scope entities
• Produce timely monthly management accounts and related information (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Review and challenge monthly accounts, schedules and reports
• Analyze balance sheet reconciliations and provide commentary
• Drive process automation and control improvements
• Ensure statutory reporting deadlines (annual accounts, tax filings) are met
• Manage external audits and prepare schedules for auditors
• Lead and develop a team of assistant accountants
• Support the Financial Controller in leading the UK finance function
• Identify improvements and contribute to key finance projects
• Perform ad hoc duties to meet Group needs

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
• 5 years post-qualification experience (estimated)
• Strong academic record (2:1 or above)
• Experience at a Top 10 accounting firm or large international business
• Good IT skills; familiarity with SUN Systems or Workday Financials advantageous
• Interest in global economy
