Finance Controller

Overview

In this Finance Controller role, you own statutory accounting activities, month-end closing, and reporting to the European HQ. You collaborate with the Accounting and Tax partners to ensure compliant and timely processes. You manage accounts payable controls, budgeting, and monthly forecasts, while supporting new projects and initiatives with the General Manager and Sales Manager. You balance trade terms and oversee collections, positioning you to drive accuracy and timely reporting in a multi-national environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide documentation, instructions and support to Accounting and Tax third parties
• Ensure UK tax obligations are fulfilled on time
• Control the Accounts Payable process
• Own closing checks and produce the reporting package to HQ stakeholders
• Credit and Collections management
• Coordinate statutory information flow and payments to government agencies
• Coordinate preparation of Budgets and Monthly forecasts
• Partner with General Manager and Sales Manager on proposals for new projects and initiatives
• Oversee trade terms execution, balancing price, volume and profitability

Key requirements

• Degree in Business or Finance
• 5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a multinational setting
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and/or Google Workspace
• Knowledge of other financial systems is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and drive for results
• Team player; pro-active communicator; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
• Ability to cope with tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Interest in fashion, sports and outdoor lifestyle
• Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus
