Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design and oversee electrical systems for challenging building projects in semiconductor, data center, and advanced manufacturing facilities. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex, state-of-the-art facilities for global clients. You’ll drive electrical design quality, coordinate with other disciplines, and mentor junior engineers. This position combines technical leadership with site due diligence and field Observation, within Jacobs’ safety‑ and collaboration‑driven culture. Responsibilities

• Organize and delegate engineering tasks to produce construction documents with a team
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals
• Coordinate real-time with other disciplines to develop designs
• Own the electrical design and ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of construction documents
• Design complex building systems (medium/low voltage, lighting, grounding, process heating, standby power)
• Lead upfront site selection and due diligence activities
• Perform field activities and observe construction
• Review submittals for conformance with contract/design documents
• Provide guidance and mentoring to project electrical engineers and designers

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
• Experience applying IEC and applicable local codes
• Excellent English; written and spoken
