As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will contribute to multi-discipline EW capability development, designing and deploying RF systems and software-defined radio applications. You will operate within a cross-functional team to deliver embedded software solutions using OpenCPI, driving efficient missions for defence and cyber programmes. Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate DSP and SDR functions in C++ into OpenCPI-based applications
• Develop platform APIs, embedded Linux drivers, firmware, and application management code for radio integration
• Design and integrate RF communication systems within cross-functional teams
• Apply test-driven development and build test harnesses/simulations for verification
• Explore AI/ML tooling and hybrid cloud compute to enhance solutions
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Technical Leads to ensure timely, appropriate solutions

Key requirements

• Significant experience using C++ for embedded, resource-constrained devices
• Experience with RF communications and SDR technologies/architectures
• Knowledge of DSP, algorithms/payload development, and embedded system design
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded applications

• Strong communication and collaboration within Agile teams
• Proactive problem-solving and innovative mindset
• Ability to operate in cross-functional environments and adapt to changing requirements
