Staff Data Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, build and maintain high-quality data solutions in the cloud, driving automation and scalability. You will provide technical leadership to a small squad, oversee complex tasks, and shape M&S data frameworks and policies. You’ll collaborate with engineers to deliver clean code and scalable pipelines aligned with business goals. Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines following ETL principles
• Provide technical leadership to a small squad of engineers
• Own complex backlog tasks and deliver reliably
• Lead development of M&S standard data frameworks and policies
• Support other data engineers through code reviews and pair programming
• Design, develop, and maintain data solutions in the cloud

Key requirements

• Cloud-based data technologies and data warehousing design principles (Azure preferred)
• Expert in end-to-end data solutions
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Databricks, SQL)
• Experience with Python/SQL/Spark
• Demonstrable leadership mentality and business acumen
