Senior Java Developer-AWS-Microservices (Lead I – Software Engineering)

Overview

You will design and build high-quality Java applications in a hybrid Nottingham environment, collaborating with product teams to turn ideas into scalable features. You will own and drive development of team-owned components within a microservices context, pushing technical excellence and innovation. This role sits in a collaborative, self-organized engineering culture focused on reliable, user-centered software. A strong hook is modern AWS/cloud-based microservice delivery using Spring technologies.

Key requirements

• AWS / Cloud platforms experience
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality applications
• Strong Java skills and OO principles (SOLID, SOA, HTTP, REST)
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
• Experience in building APIs within a microservices architecture
