Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer in Cisco’s Webex Real-time Media Engineering Group who will contribute to full lifecycle feature development in an agile setting. You will help manage a highly available microservice architecture and participate in on-call rotations, while solving varied, complex problems. The role blends hands-on development, automated testing, and AI-enabled productivity, with mentorship and growth supported by a collaborative team. Responsibilities

• Participate in full lifecycle development in an agile team to design, develop, test, and deliver new features and improvements
• Assist and manage the operational side of a microservice architecture, including on-call rotation
• Tackle varied, challenging problems with a data-driven focus on quality and rapid skill acquisition
• Own tasks from feature development to automated testing and issue investigation with strong attention to detail
• Utilize AI tools in daily workflows to boost productivity and explore new AI-driven opportunities
• Engage in dedicated mentorship and formal training to grow technical skills

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in an analytical subject
• 10+ years of professional programming experience in C++/C#
• Experience with Linux development
• Understanding of virtualization and containerisation, and experience with Docker
