Senior Software Engineering Manager – Networking

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and people management for a software development team
• Recruit and mentor team members to grow capability
• Review requirements and deliver effort estimates and risk assessments to senior management
• Influence architectural decisions, code reviews, test plans, and technology strategy
• Manage multiple concurrent projects to deliver features on schedule
• Foster continuous improvement of engineering practices, performance, scalability, availability, and flexibility
• Collaborate with product, QA, and support teams

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 10+ years of software development experience in the networking domain
• 5+ years in a technical leadership and/or people management role
• Knowledge of network routers, switches, or routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
