Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help keep production running by diagnosing faults and performing safe, logical maintenance of electrical equipment. You’ll work within the Engineering team to reduce downtime and handle reactive maintenance on site. Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous production by minimizing downtime through proactive fault finding and maintenance of electrical equipment
• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on electrical systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and driven machinery
• Read and interpret technical drawings to support installation, repair and optimization of plant
• Support automated process equipment and robotics through troubleshooting and routine servicing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and efficient operations

Key requirements

• Strong electrical knowledge with some mechanical experience
• Qualified and time-served in a similar role, ideally NVQ 3
• Apprentice-trained and ideally with 18th edition wiring regulations
• PLC fault finding skills a distinct advantage
• Experience with robots and automated process plant; reading technical drawings
• Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining an advantage
• Proven ability in reactive and planned maintenance of electrical systems and machinery
