Site Manager – London 65,000 – 70,000 plus package

Overview

As a Site Manager in Greater London, you will lead the safe delivery of medium to large-scale construction projects across multiple sectors. You will work within a collaborative team to ensure projects are on time, within budget and built to the highest standards. The role spans commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment or new build as part of a reputable contractor with a strong presence in the UK. You will shape on-site delivery, quality control and safety culture while engaging with stakeholders and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract scope and communicate with project stakeholders and subcontractors
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Project Quantity Surveyor on scope changes and procurement
• Place orders for materials and equipment with QS oversight
• Issue and close permits, manage utilities, highway openings, welfare facilities, and temporary connections
• Oversee off-site highways works and coordination with relevant parties
• Raise NCRs for quality issues and manage resolution
• Ensure ITPs are prepared, issued and closed by subcontractors
• Manage snagging lists through to final closeout
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and CDM regulations on site
• Act as Temporary Works Coordinator where applicable
• Assess labour-only subcontractors with Method Statements and Risk Assessments

Key requirements

• Proven Site Manager experience in commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment and/or new build projects
• Ability to manage and control subcontractors in line with programme, safety and environmental legislation
• Experience of temporary works procedures
• Ability to produce short-term programmes and operate effectively within a team environment
