Civil Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will shape civil design across the lifecycle of major water and wastewater schemes, from feasibility to commissioning. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, buildable designs that meet safety and quality standards while supporting client objectives. You’ll influence delivery by integrating civil with other disciplines and promoting sustainable, practical solutions. This role offers growth within a collaborative, client-focused environment tackling impactful infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support and ensure designs are fit for purpose and compliant with standards
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop safe, efficient solutions through design, construction and beyond
• Engage with clients and manage relationships with a one-team approach
• Manage interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines and associated documentation
• Act as technical checker and conduct technical reviews across projects
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, including standard designs and digital tools
• Conduct site reviews to verify buildability and integration with existing systems
• Support development of the civil engineering team through coaching and resource planning

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs in line with design, quality and safety standards
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical problem-solving approach
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the operational region
