Overview

In this role you will handle contentious property matters in a Birmingham team, focusing on landlord/tenant disputes and related property issues. You will work within a leading West Midlands firm’s Property Litigation Department, collaborating with the commercial litigation team when needed. The role suits a solicitor with 2–5 years’ PQE who can manage both tenant and landlord matters, including complex disputes and TOLATA-related work. You will contribute to delivering robust property dispute outcomes while upholding the firm’s inclusive culture and client service standards.

Responsibilities

• Contentious landlord and tenant matters for both tenants and landlords in residential and commercial property
• Boundary disputes
• General property disputes
• TOLATA claims
• Professional negligence claims relating to property
• Assist the commercial litigation team when required

Key requirements

• 2–5 years’ PQE (firm open to relevant experience outside this range)
• Experience in contentious property matters including landlord and tenant
• Capacity to handle both residential and commercial property disputes
• Willingness to support the commercial litigation team as needed
