Senior Building Surveyor – London

Overview

In this role you help deliver expert building surveys and asset management for public and private sector clients in London. You will lead client relationships, drive survey reports and various projects from feasibility to handover. You’ll apply technical surveying knowledge while collaborating across a multidisciplinary team to support growth, service excellence and agile delivery. This is a client-facing role with impact on real estate optimisation and iconic commissions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building surveys, dilapidations and party wall advice
• Provide expert advice and reports on commercial assets
• Manage fit-out, refurbishment and remedial projects across commercial estates
• Lead projects from feasibility through design, contract administration to post-completion reviews
• Prepare and manage planned maintenance programmes
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and secure future workstreams
• Collaborate to meet and exceed team goals and objectives

Key requirements

• MRICS or MCIOB
• Experience delivering commercial building surveys and producing reports
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and procurement strategies
• Experience as contract administrator or employer’s agent for JCT or NEC
• Understanding of building contracts law and relevant legislation
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use AutoCAD and MS Office tools
