Serious Injury Lawyer (7+ PQE)

Overview

In this role you will handle a growing, low-volume but high-value caseload of complex serious injury claims, with a focus on traumatic brain injury. You will work closely with clients and families, guiding them through the claims process in a specialist team that values rehabilitation and best outcomes. You will manage multi-track litigation from start to finish, collaborating with medical experts and care professionals. Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex serious injury claims, especially traumatic brain injury matters
• Possibly undertake clinical negligence work depending on experience and interest
• Run high-value multi-track litigation from inception to settlement or trial
• Advise clients and families throughout the claims process
• Conduct client visits, including home and hospital visits when required
• Collaborate with medical experts, case managers and rehabilitation providers
• Support growth and development of the firm’s specialist practice
• Build relationships with professional contacts to enhance the firm’s reputation in the serious injury sector

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Civil Litigation practice rights
• Approximately 7+ years’ PQE (consideration for candidates outside this range)
• Proven experience handling high-value serious injury claims
• Experience with complex causation issues
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Strong organisational and case management abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a specialist team
• Compassionate and empathetic approach
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
