Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer, Oxford

Overview

In this Oxford-based role you lead electrical design within a building services practice, guiding the discipline at principal/associate director level. You shape a portfolio of LV power, lighting, containment, and life safety projects across the Thames Valley, coordinating closely with mechanical and public health teams. You drive load calculations and Revit electrical models while influencing practice growth and business development. A key hook is applying your expertise to heritage, residential, and WELL-focused projects within a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the electrical discipline
• Take project portfolio responsibility and contribute to business development
• Drive electrical design work across LV power, lighting, containment and life safety
• Lead load calculations and Revit electrical modeling
• Coordinate with mechanical and public health teams to integrate electrical systems
• Support growth and strategic direction of the practice
• Engage with projects in Thames Valley, including heritage and WELL contexts

Key requirements

• Electrical design experience across LV power, lighting, small power, containment and life safety
• Experience operating at principal or associate director level
• Ability to drive Revit electrical models and perform load calculations
• Strong coordination skills with MEP disciplines
• Exposure to IES, heritage, residential and WELL is useful but not mandatory
• Based on-site in Oxford with full-time commitment
