Finance Systems Enterprise Architect

Overview

You will lead the Finance Systems Enterprise Architecture to deliver a cohesive, scalable finance technology stack that improves reporting speed, accuracy, and insights while cutting costs. You’ll guide cross-functional programmes, ensuring alignment with the Digital Finance Strategy and long-term roadmaps. You’ll shape data governance, controls, and automated finance processes across the Oracle ecosystem and other finance applications. This role offers hybrid/remote work with occasional office visits in the UK and a chance to influence critical financial systems for the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern target-state Finance Systems Architecture aligned with the Group’s standards and long-term roadmap
• Design and oversee integrations across Oracle R12/Oracle Cloud, OneStream, Kyriba, Emburse and other finance applications
• Lead end-to-end process design across R2R, P2P, O2C, and other finance domains to reduce manual intervention
• Define and govern Finance data architecture, master data, and chart of accounts; ensure data quality and governance
• Implement controls, reconciliation, and segregation of duties to maintain financial integrity
• Establish architecture governance, standards, and review processes across finance technology projects
• Identify automation opportunities to simplify processes and improve speed and controls
• Provide architectural leadership during programme delivery; oversee vendor and system integrator work
• Ensure regulatory compliance (including Making Tax Digital, e-Invoicing, statutory reporting, audit) and security considerations
• Maintain a multi-year Finance Systems roadmap with prioritisation and debt reduction initiatives
• Coordinate with Cyber Security to mitigate risks and ensure secure architecture
• Ensure smooth service transition to managed services with proper documentation and readiness

Key requirements
