Overview
In this VP Banker role, you will act as a strategic advisor to clients, helping raise capital in the markets and guiding M&A and other financial transactions. You will collaborate with the Institutional Banking team to deliver financing solutions and strategic counsel. You’ll drive due diligence, draft investor materials, and coordinate with senior colleagues and external advisors. This is a high-responsibility client-facing role that shapes capital strategy and transaction outcomes at Citi.
Responsibilities
- Lead key phases of deal execution and new business development to drive firm growth
- Guide clients through capital raising, including due diligence and preparation for equity or debt offerings
- Collaborate on M&A and special situation transactions with clients and senior team members
- Draft analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and presentations, overseeing analysts/associates
Key requirements
- Experience in Financial Services, especially Banking
- Degree in Finance or related Business Administration
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, regulations, lending and credit processes
- Proven ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Experience with large corporate clients and capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities
