Overview

In this role you drive new business opportunities and revenue growth for Wesco, expanding product lines and markets while strengthening customer relationships. You will analyze growth patterns, identify gaps, and propose strategic moves to boost profitability and competitive position. You’ll lead cross-functional engagement, roll out initiatives at key accounts, and collaborate with suppliers and teams to deliver value. Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to grow profitability
  • Retain and expand existing relationships, product lines, and market segments; solicit new business
  • Oversee R&D and market analysis to spot opportunities and increase market share
  • Establish relationships with customers and suppliers; coordinate meetings with Wesco representatives
  • Call on existing or prospective customers within a defined business development program
  • Represent Wesco in evaluating and negotiating acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures
  • Conduct rollout meetings at new, key, and global accounts
  • Lead local implementation teams (LIT) for projects
  • Identify cost savings in direct/indirect spend and value-add programs
  • Create and implement account development activities including product gap analysis and One-Wesco engagement
  • Provide internal and customer training on processes
  • Serve as liaison between suppliers, marketing services, and location operations

Key requirements

  • 5 years of experience in financial analysis, sales, negotiation (6+ preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to initiate and develop relationships with key decision makers
  • Capacity to analyze financial and operational data and projections
  • Ability to identify external resources and learn complex technical information quickly
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments and managing multiple projects
  • Travel availability 50%–75%
  • Knowledge of Wesco’s existing lines, strengths and challenges preferred
