Overview

In this contingent role, you apply formulation science and modelling to assess material variability and supplier changes in drug products. You’ll bridge lab work with computational predictions to support manufacturing decisions and product quality. The role blends hands-on formulation with predictive modelling in a cross-functional team, delivering insights across the pharmaceutical lifecycle. You will work remotely or on-site, contributing to risk-based material changes in a global organisation that values scientific excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute and interpret lab studies to evaluate material variability and supplier changes on drug product performance
  • Develop small-scale process models using Science of Scale principles
  • Use computational models and data analysis to predict robustness and performance during material changes
  • Conduct formulation-based performance prediction studies for manufacturing and quality risk mitigation
  • Explore relationships between material attributes, process parameters and product quality attributes
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and prepare technical reports

Key requirements

  • Degree or higher in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical formulation and process development, especially for oral solid dosage forms
  • Experience designing and interpreting experimental studies including powder blending, granulation, compression, and coating
