Overview

In this role you will support a busy Professional & Financial Risks team in Bristol, handling high-value professional indemnity work for insurers and large firms. You will manage a varied caseload, defend broker negligence claims, and advise on regulatory and policy issues, while collaborating across clients, brokers and stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of professional indemnity matters
• Defend insurance broker negligence claims
• Represent brokers in commercial disputes and regulatory contexts
• Handle pre-litigation and litigated claims across a wide value spectrum
• Advise on regulatory issues, risk management and policy coverage
• Liaise with clients, insurers, brokers and other stakeholders
• Support business development and contribute to team initiatives
• Maintain high professional standards, client service and compliance

Key requirements

• 2-5 years PQE
• ideally with broker negligence experience
• Strong litigation experience
• Excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commercially minded with strong financial awareness
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Collaborative mindset and team-oriented attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
