Responsibilities

• Oversee governance, reporting, assurance, and performance management across multiple projects or major workstreams
• Lead NEC contract strategy across packages, including contract administration, change management, and dispute mitigation
• Provide senior technical oversight on electrical infrastructure ensuring regulatory and standards compliance
• Engage with senior stakeholders including client leadership, regulators, and design/construction teams
• Drive programme‑wide optimisation of risk, cost, and schedule and proactive issue resolution
• Shape delivery strategy, resource planning, sequencing, and investment priorities
• Provide governance leadership with adherence to client processes and financial controls
• Mentor senior PMs and develop a high‑performing project management environment across the programme

Key requirements

• Degree‑qualified in a relevant engineering, project management, or construction discipline
• Chartered or working toward chartership (APM, IET, ICE, MCIOB, etc.)
• Seasoned project management experience with leadership across major infrastructure, utilities, or energy programmes
• Deep expertise in NEC contract strategy, commercial leadership, and client‑side governance for large‑scale delivery
• Strong track record delivering complex electrical infrastructure (substations, OHL, UGC, grid reinforcement)
• Comfortable leading complex, multi‑stakeholder programmes and engaging at senior/executive levels
• Ability to interpret complex schedules, risk models, and commercial information from planning and controls teams
• Eligible to obtain BPSS security clearance
