Senior Technical Content Manager

Overview

Senior Manager to lead Anaplan’s Technical Content team, spanning Anapedia, Planual, and documentation for Anaplan Applications, plus localisation. You will shape the strategy, nurture a ~15-person team across two sub-teams, and modernise content operations with AI-driven tooling. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, UX, and Support to keep documentation synchronous with releases and roadmap. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategy with practical contribution to high-visibility content, while safeguarding trust and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision and roadmap for Anaplan’s technical content function across Anapedia, Planual, Applications documentation and localisation
• Lead and develop a ~15-person team across two sub-teams, building strong second-line leadership
• Challenge existing content processes and retire underperforming practices to introduce better ones
• Identify and implement AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate content creation, review, updating, and translation
• Modernize the content stack by selecting and evolving CMSs and tooling for Anapedia, Planual and localisation
• Contribute hands-on to complex content, model editorial standards, and mentor sub-team leads and writers
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, UX, and Support to align content with releases and roadmap
• Own the localisation roadmap and operating model to ensure quality across languages and markets
• Define and track metrics for content quality, coverage, freshness, and efficiency to drive improvement

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing a mid-size team (roughly 15–25 people)
• Strong track record building and scaling technical content operations at enterprise scale
• Hands-on familiarity with AI for content creation, editing, QA, or localisation
• Solid knowledge of modern content management systems and docs-as-code tooling
• Demonstrated ability to challenge processes while protecting content quality and customer trust
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Support
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with occasional in-office days in Manchester or York, UK
