Overview

In this role you join Chadwick Nott’s client’s New Homes and Residential Conveyancing Department in Devon to support growth in a specialist area. You will manage your own caseload of new build and plot purchase matters, reviewing title, planning documents and site searches. You will raise enquiries, prepare master site reports and handle plot purchases toward 28-day exchanges, while collaborating with the team and ensuring compliance. Responsibilities

  • Manage own caseload of new build and plot purchase matters
  • Review title, planning documents and searches for developments
  • Raise site-wide enquiries and prepare master site precedent reports
  • Act for purchasers on individual plot purchases with 28-day exchange targets
  • Handle one-off plot purchases and related sales
  • Produce documents using the firm’s case management system
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the residential conveyancing team
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, professional standards and quality requirements
  • Support department growth through excellent client service and efficient practices

Key requirements

  • At least 2 years PQE in residential conveyancing including plot purchase work
  • Experience reviewing development-wide documentation and site reports
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong client relationship skills and professional, efficient approach
  • Track record of contributing to marketing initiatives and fee growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and prioritization ability
  • Good IT skills including case management systems
  • Ability to meet financial and non-financial targets
