Auditor, Food Packaging / BRCGS

Overview

As a Food Packaging Auditor, you audit clients’ packaging products against national and international standards, focusing on BRCGS for packaging materials. You work both onsite and remotely, travel as required, and support clients in achieving high quality and safety standards. This role sits within a global standards organisation that values trust, collaboration, and continuous development. You will engage cross-functionally to shape certification outcomes and help clients improve food safety and packaging integrity. Responsibilities

• Conduct audits against BRCGS Packaging Materials standard (and related national/international standards)
• Perform on-site and remote audits with travel requirements
• Engage with clients to understand their processes and provide consultative audit feedback
• Ensure clients meet quality packaging product and service standards
• Prepare audit findings and contribute to certification decisions
• Maintain up-to-date audit logs and records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in food safety and packaging practices

Key requirements

• BRCGS qualified auditor on packaging materials (mandatory)
• FSSC ISO 22000 Auditor qualification (highly desirable)
• ISO 9001 qualification (preferred)
• Established experience in food packaging auditing
• Full and valid UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and internationally
