Senior Front End Developer (React/Angular)

Overview

Senior Front End Developer to own the front-end delivery of a greenfield customer-facing web portal for a regulatory remediation programme in a leading UK financial services organisation. You will build secure, scalable, and intuitive interfaces using Angular or React with TypeScript, collaborating with cloud and back-end teams to integrate APIs and authentication workflows. The role offers impact by delivering a high-profile portal used by thousands of customers, shaping the digital experience in a regulated environment. You will work across cross-functional squads to ensure robust delivery and secure handling of customer data.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain customer-facing web applications using Angular or React and TypeScript
• Build responsive, secure and user-friendly interfaces based on designs and requirements
• Integrate applications with REST APIs, authentication services and workflow platforms
• Implement customer authentication journeys including OTP and multi-factor authentication
• Support secure handling of customer data, PII and bank account information
• Collaborate with business, UX, product and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and release activities
• Contribute to frontend architecture, technical design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives

Key requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Angular or React and TypeScript
• Experience building customer-facing digital products and web portals
• Experience developing applications from scratch
• Strong REST API integration experience
• Experience with authentication mechanisms such as OTP, MFA, SSO, Cognito or Azure AD
• Experience handling customer data and PII in regulated environments
• Understanding of software development best practices, testing and deployment processes
• Ability to work independently and own frontend delivery
• Available immediately or on short notice
