Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

In this role you drive supplier quality across a global network to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant products. You will partner with Procurement, Quality, Certification and Airworthiness to assess, approve and monitor suppliers, delivering audits and continuous improvement. You’ll lead a global supplier audit programme and provide expert guidance on quality matters, influencing supplier performance and compliance. This is a hands-on position with impact on regulatory alignment and supplier excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering a new supplier approval service to meet quality and timescale goals
• Manage Corrective Action Requests and ensure timely closure
• Maintain a global list of approved suppliers and their scopes
• Provide guidance on supplier quality to Procurement, Engineering and external suppliers
• Represent SQA in meetings and reviews as requested by management
• Review and approve supplier Quality Plans against LH requirements
• Coordinate with LH Supplier Quality Assurance locations on shared suppliers and procedures
• Develop new tools and techniques to improve team and individual performance
• Operate in accordance with Company OS and regulatory requirements

Key requirements

• Significant experience in Aeronautical, Avionics, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Special Process or Manufacturing disciplines
• Lead Assessor potential with ISO 9001 and EN/AS9100 (training can be given)
• Knowledge of Regulatory standards such as EASA Part 21G and FAA FAR21; awareness of EASA PART21J and EASA/FAA Part 145 (training can be given)
• Strong knowledge of Quality fundamentals, tools and techniques
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
• Strong ability to interpret information against requirements
