Overview
In this role you will lead substantive money laundering, sanctions and fraud compliance activities for a global bank. You’ll work with Front-Line Units and Control Functions to meet regulatory and policy requirements, manage sanctions risks, and support investigations and risk assessments. You will help shape sanctions strategy, monitor regulatory changes, and benchmark industry trends. This position offers the chance to influence global financial crime risk management within a large, inclusive organization.

Responsibilities
- Manage and interpret sanctions requirements for Financial Crimes Global Standard
- Assess and interpret regulatory sanctions changes (US, UN, EU, UK)
- Oversee sanctions-related audit issues and provide summaries of issues
- Analyze regional operational and risk metrics for management reporting
- Investigate potential sanctions violations and respond as needed
- Assist Money Laundering Reporting Officers with SME sanctions input for inquiries
- Contribute to sanctions risk assessments
- Collaborate with FLU risk managers to develop sanctions content in risk assessments
- Monitor sanctions penalty assessments for vulnerabilities
- Benchmark with peer banks on industry trends
Key requirements
- Demonstrable sanctions experience, especially UK/EU sanctions
- Knowledge of financial products (lending, payments, securities trading, derivatives)
- Experience in an Investment Bank/Corporate Banking environment
