Senior Town Planner – London – 50-55k + Package

Overview

In this role you drive planning for residential and mixed-use developments for a London-based build-out developer. You will support the land and planning team from acquisition through planning determination, addressing due diligence and securing planning permission on major schemes. The role combines technical planning expertise with stakeholder negotiation, ensuring successful delivery within budgets and timelines. You will work closely with authorities, consultants and architects to shape viable schemes and communities.

Responsibilities

• maintain relationships with local authorities, GLA, consultants and agents
• negotiate with planning officers, architects and third parties
• conduct due diligence and feasibility work for potential acquisition sites
• prepare planning briefs from feasibility through to instruction
• prepare planning applications and planning statements
• manage budgets and programs for planning projects
• coordinate consultant team from acquisition to determination
• attend land and planning meetings and update management

Key requirements

• 2-5 years’ experience in planning
• MRTPI qualification
• strong Microsoft Office skills
• planning expertise and knowledge of the planning system
