Overview

In this role you drive growth for Actemium’s automation services, managing key client relationships and leading regional business development. You will blend technical insight with commercial acumen to pursue opportunities and shape deals with senior stakeholders. You’ll work across engineering and delivery teams to align scope with commercial terms, while raising the company profile at industry events. This is a high-impact role within a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities for automation, controls and systems integration services
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients as the primary commercial contact
  • Lead proposal development, including bids, statements of work and value propositions
  • Manage the sales pipeline and forecast revenue to meet regional targets
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management and delivery teams to align commercial with technical scope
  • Represent Actemium at client meetings, events and conferences to generate leads
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contractual arrangements in line with policies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes, CRM usage and marketing initiatives

Key requirements

  • Proven track record in business development, sales or account management within industrial automation, controls, engineering or related sectors
  • Good technical understanding of PLC, SCADA, HMI, MES or systems integration
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience preparing bids and contractual documentation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence senior clients and internal teams
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a sales pipeline and meeting targets
  • Proficient with CRM systems and MS Office tools
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally
  • Desirable: experience within VINCI Energies or familiarity with procurement/tender processes in regulated sectors
