Overview

As AI & Automation Director, you will lead the design and delivery of AI-powered automation across the SEO practice, driving efficiency and scalable innovation. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, turning business needs into secure, repeatable automation solutions. You will partner with client teams and internal stakeholders to articulate value, govern governance and risk, and advance the agency’s AI-enabled capabilities. This role offers the chance to shape automation strategy, build reusable components, and elevate client outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• AI, Automation & Agent Development: design/build/test/deploy automation solutions; develop AI agents and workflows; automate repetitive tasks using Power Automate and Copilot Agents; drive process improvements; support innovative client-facing AI products; monitor performance and iterate for adoption and impact

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience designing and delivering automation or AI-enabled workflows in a business setting
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Copilot Studio (or comparable tools)
• Background in coding or technical development; experience with Claude Code or Cursor is advantageous
• Ability to translate operational/client challenges into clear technical requirements and practical solutions
• Experience scoping initiatives and delivering from discovery to adoption
• Strong understanding of responsible AI, information security, privacy and governance
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience delivering training and supporting organisational change and adoption
• SEO, search marketing or digital delivery experience is a major advantage
