You will lead health and safety at the Corby site, ensuring compliance and driving safety culture. You will work with COLT and site leadership to align with group standards and deliver strategic safety improvements. The role focuses on risk reduction, incident investigation, and continuous improvement of safety systems. This is an opportunity to shape site-level health and safety strategy within a global steel producer.

Responsibilities
- Represent COLT to ensure compliance, reporting accuracy, and a positive safety culture
- Lead and develop local H&S teams; oversee competency, development, meetings, and action follow-through
- Own routine safety management and meeting agendas across cycles
- Coordinate internal and external incident reporting; prepare/submit RIDDOR as needed
- Oversee contractor safety management: supplier audits, competency checks, RAMS, permit controls, task reviews
- Coordinate site and TSUK-wide H&S management system activities; ensure alignment of outcomes
- Contribute to deployment of the health and safety strategy and site-level objectives
- Maintain H&S systems and accreditations; manage corrective/improvement actions
- Oversee investigations; ensure reporting, circulation, and closure of actions
- Represent Corby site at TSUK HSSE level; ensure engagement and provide delegation when required
- Participate in regional audits/programmes; capture best practices for local implementation
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and incident response processes
- Collaborate with technical teams on process safety, human factors, and risk-reduction
- Act as SME across incident investigation, return-to-work, occupational health, disciplinaries, and grievance hearings

- NEBOSH diploma and/or CMIOSH or working towards; strong external legislative understanding
- Excellent communications; ability to build relationships with external parties (Audits and HSE)
