Consulting Director – Life & Pensions Insurance

Overview

In this role you drive the growth and scope of NTT DATA’s Insurance Consulting practice in the UK&I, leading large-scale transformation work for Life & Pensions, Specialty, and General Insurance. You will shape market propositions, build senior client relationships, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver business and digital transformation. You help expand the practice, mentor consultants, and represent the firm in industry forums. You will operate in a fast-growing environment where strategic impact and client outcomes matter.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Insurance segments
• Lead transformation engagements covering business change, operating model redesign, digital transformation, customer experience, and regulatory change
• Support growth of the Insurance consulting capability in UK&I
• Shape go-to-market propositions and sector offerings aligned to client priorities
• Contribute to business development including proposals, bids, and strategic pursuits
• Collaborate with technology, delivery, and industry teams to deliver integrated client solutions
• Mentor and develop consultants across the practice
• Support recruitment and foster a collaborative, high-performing consulting culture
• Represent NTT DATA in client workshops, industry events, and executive discussions

Key requirements

• Strong consulting and/or industry leadership experience within Insurance
• Experience in Life & Pensions, Specialty Insurance, or General Insurance
• Proven delivery of transformation programmes with measurable outcomes
• Understanding of operating models, customer journeys, distribution, claims, policy administration, and regulatory change
• Experience with consulting sales, account growth, or proposition development
• Knowledge of trends like AI, automation, digital platforms, and data-led transformation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Collaborative leadership style with focus on team development and growth
• Ability to operate in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
