Project Controller

Overview

Join Spire’s delivery team in Glasgow as a curious, process-minded Project Controller. You will build controls, tooling and processes to support a portfolio of complex, multi-year programmes in satellite services and government/defence contracts. You will work with Delivery Project Managers to provide real-time visibility and maintain baselines. You will shape reporting frameworks, cost performance tracking and risk management, leveraging data and AI to deliver smarter programmes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain programme schedules across the portfolio with baseline management, critical path analysis, and resource loading
• Design and implement controls frameworks, templates and reporting tools for the DPM team
• Support cost performance tracking, including actuals, ETC and spend-versus-budget analysis
• Build and manage programme reporting in a project management platform with dashboards and data structures
• Support formal change control processes and assess impact on schedule, cost and resources
• Interrogate risk and opportunity registers and ensure actions are tracked in the schedule
• Identify opportunities to improve tooling, data use, or processes to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy

Key requirements

• Experience in project controls, planning or scheduling in aerospace, defence or similarly complex industries
• Proficiency with scheduling tools; able to build, baseline and interrogate schedules
• Analytical and detail-oriented with cross-domain data and performance metrics
• Self-directed, proactive and capable of designing and implementing processes and tooling
• Collaborative and credible with cross-functional stakeholders
• Curiosity about how project management platforms, data tools and AI can improve delivery
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics or a related field
