APRU Team Leader – Weekend

Overview

As Team Leader for Production & Repair, you guide a high-performing, hands-on team to deliver high-quality products while upholding safety and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with the Activity Manager to balance workloads and drive continuous improvement within a cross-functional cell. You’ll coach colleagues, influence peers, and champion 5S and quality governance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role combines practical production work with people-focused leadership to scale delivery and performance on a weekend shift. Responsibilities

• Champion HS&E awareness and ensure PPE adherence
• Coordinate workloads with the Activity Manager to align assembly, test, inspection, and repair
• Help the team overcome challenges, escalate issues when needed
• Ensure adherence to processes, work instructions, routing, tooling, and material flow
• Lead daily SIM meetings and contribute to performance reviews and improvement initiatives
• Support collection and analysis of operational performance metrics for continuous improvement
• Promote quality and governance processes (route cards, timesheets, non-conformance)
• Act as a point of contact for process-related questions and guidance
• Maintain workplace organization through 5S principles
• Encourage ideas and empower improvements by team members
• Own project/product deliveries and monitor progress against routing times
• Maintain effective material flow and address productivity blockers
• Build relationships across manufacturing, engineering, planning, quality and support teams
• Contribute to estimating activities for new builds and repairs
• Support training and development opportunities for team members
• Assist with load and capacity planning to align resources with business needs
• Execute TPM activities and ensure equipment/tooling availability and calibration
• Foster a caring, high-performing team environment

Key requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing setting
• Strong understanding of MRP and PDM system principles
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, processes, and best practices
• Experience supporting operational performance, process improvement, or team coordination is beneficial
• Good numeracy and literacy; professional qualifications desirable but practical experience valued
• Prior experience working with TI Cameras is essential
