In this Senior Site Manager role, you will lead a 30-unit residential development in Wanstead from enabling works onwards. You’ll be the on-site lead, coordinating with an Assistant Site Manager and a QS, and partnering with a broad subcontractor base. The position sits within a long-established developer with a strong pipeline, offering an opportunity to shape delivery on a high-profile project. You’ll drive safety, quality, and progress against programme while maintaining strong site organisation and stakeholder collaboration. Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities and supervise trades, subcontractors, and labourers
• Ensure build progresses in line with the programme and organise daily tasks and site logistics
• Enforce health and safety regulations, conduct inductions and toolbox talks, manage PPE use
• Monitor workmanship, inspect materials, carry out snagging, and ensure conformance to drawings and specs
• Allocate tasks, monitor productivity, resolve on-site disputes, and maintain staffing levels
• Coordinate trades and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment; manage sequencing
• Track progress, report to the project manager, highlight delays, and propose solutions
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and coordinate inspections
• Address on-site challenges, make quick decisions to keep the project moving, escalate major issues when needed
• Maintain a clean, secure, well-organised site and control access; manage storage of materials
