Data Scientist

Overview

In this role, you harness advanced data science, AI/Gen-AI, and predictive analytics to steer technology decisions. You’ll support due diligence, market analysis, and strategic roadmaps by building sophisticated models and benchmarking performance. You’ll partner with Technology and AI teams to develop Gen-AI native products and AI-powered analysis tools. This position offers impact by shaping Liberty Global’s technology strategy at scale and across markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop technology strategy data and AI frameworks to support decision-making
• Build Gen-AI native products and services across the group
• Create data aggregation, correlation, and visualization capabilities for performance metrics, market trends, and competitive intelligence
• Apply statistical and ML techniques to analyze adoption patterns and opportunities
• Define and monitor KPIs for technology strategy initiatives, innovation programs, and investments
• Create benchmarking capabilities comparing Liberty Global’s tech performance against industry leaders
• Collaborate on PoCs using emerging AI/ML technologies
• Drive NLP-based trend analysis, automated competitive intelligence, and predictive forecasting
• Develop AI-powered capabilities for due diligence automation, market intelligence, and opportunity identification

Key requirements

• 3+ years in data science with focus on building Data and AI products
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL with expertise in statistics, ML, and data visualization
• Full-stack development experience with cloud technologies (GCP preferred)
• Strong expertise in building Gen-AI native products and services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into business recommendations
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to senior leadership and technical stakeholders
