Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

As a Civil Engineer at Arup in Leeds, you will contribute to a wide range of civil projects across flood risk, water, wastewater and sewerage. You’ll work from advisory through to detailed design and construction supervision within a large multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and evaluation of civil engineering schemes
• Check quality and accuracy of own and others’ work
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to reach mutual outcomes
• Organise project-related events and internal activities
• Deliver defined parts of design projects, both in team and independently
• Support design decisions with 3D modelling and drawing/ sketches
• Collaborate across phases from advisory to construction supervision

Key requirements

• Civil Engineering degree (Class 2:1 or above)
• Working towards or achieved a recognised professional qualification
• Relevant practical civil engineering experience
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, drawings)
• Interest in sustainable, innovative, digitally-enabled engineering solutions
• Ability to provide design solutions that improve sustainability and social value
