Project Planner – High Speed 2 – London

Overview

In this Project Planner role, you will support major JV construction projects in London by developing and maintaining realistic project schedules. You work closely with the Project Manager and Design Manager to ensure alignment with JV processes and accurate progress reporting. You will focus on planning from first principles, highlighting material and plant needs for procurement and recovery planning when required. This role offers impact in a high-profile rail/civil program and opportunities to advance planning capabilities within the team.

Responsibilities

• Plan from first principles and develop schedules
• Support Project Manager and Design Manager throughout the project
• Ensure schedule alignment with JV processes and progress tracking
• Produce recovery programmes when needed
• Maintain strong relationships internally and externally
• Contribute to continuous development of the planning and delivery teams
• Provide detailed material and plant information for early procurement visibility
• Meet client-agreed deadlines

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
• Experience with P6 and ASTA planning software
• At least two years planning experience with on-site civil engineering background
• Background with main or regional contractors is beneficial
• On-site experience essential
• Progress toward or attainment of Chartered Engineer is advantageous
• Construction/Civil Engineering background
