Heat Pump Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Heat Pump Engineer, you will install, commission and service air source heat pumps in domestic properties, supporting low-carbon heating systems. You will work within a forward-thinking renewables company to ensure safe, high-quality installations and fault resolution. You’ll mentor junior engineers while delivering reliable, energy-efficient heating solutions. Your role combines hands-on field work with technical problem-solving to drive customer satisfaction and project success. This is a lead position that offers ongoing training and career development in a growing sector.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain air source heat pumps in residential homes
• Work on sealed heating systems including radiators, hot water cylinders and underfloor heating
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on ASHP systems
• Ensure work meets safety and quality standards
• Support and mentor junior engineers as required

Key requirements

• Proven experience installing and maintaining ASHP systems in domestic settings
• 2+ years in domestic plumbing & heating (sealed systems, hot water, radiators)
• F-Gas certification
• NVQ Level 2+ in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
• Full, clean UK driving licence
