Electrical Engineer

Overview

As an Electrical Engineer at HDR, you will design and develop detailed electrical systems for data centers, offices, and other facilities, contributing to project design and compliance. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into complex projects and support drawing production and specifications. You will engage with governing agencies for code compliance and help drive on-schedule delivery. Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks and drawing production for data centers and other projects
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into overall projects
• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule
• Conduct project site work sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines
• Review electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines
• Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, systems and devices

Key requirements

• BEng, MSc or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ electrical design experience
• Electrical design experience on Data Center/Data Centre/Mission Critical projects
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
• Strong computer skills with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Revit
