Associate Director, Data Science/Gen AI Lead – ER&I

Overview

In this role you will lead Gen AI architectural design for ER&I clients, shaping end-to-end Gen AI platforms that unlock value. You’ll collaborate with architects, data scientists and client teams to deliver scalable solutions and governance. You’ll communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders and drive adoption through strong leadership and practical roadmaps. Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end Gen AI architectures aligned with client objectives
• Advise ER&I clients on Gen AI applications to meet challenges
• Establish a common AI language for executive discussions
• Create Gen AI roadmaps to monetize data and AI capabilities
• Assess existing systems and propose target Gen AI architectures
• Lead and mentor diverse global teams
• Support change management for Gen AI adoption
• Develop market offerings and proposals for Gen AI solutions
• Contribute to the AI and Data Architecture community
• Drive project delivery by owning workstreams and ensuring engagements succeed
• Develop junior team members through on-the-job training

Key requirements

• Consulting or ER&I experience with client-facing project work
• ER&I industry domain knowledge across engineering, operations, sustainability, regulatory, etc.
• Deep GenAI architecture expertise in GenAI, AI, or Enterprise Architecture
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for GenAI challenges
• Executive stakeholder management and strong communication
• Leadership and team development experience in GenAI environments
• Experience designing and implementing complex GenAI solutions (model integration, prompt engineering, governance, platform architecture, MLOps)
• Ability to align GenAI architectures across organizations and present designs to stakeholders
• Knowledge of go-to-market activities and RFI/RFP proposal development
• Experience with discovery and design workshops; rapid learning for GenAI techniques
• Ability to work in agile environments and lead multi-disciplinary teams
