Management Accountant

Overview

In this role you oversee the accounting function to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and company policies. You’ll lead the Accounting Department, support budgeting, payroll, monthly closings, and statutory reporting, while coordinating with the Plant Controller and international teams. You’ll tackle complex reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls to sustain high standards of integrity across finances. The role offers growth through cross-functional collaboration, regulatory audits, and opportunities to leverage AI tools for productivity and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports summarizing sales, product costs, variances, expenses, and earnings
• Record monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries for company activities
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and other account reconciliations
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to corporate policies and procedures
• Support cash management, payroll, financial analysis, budgeting, regulatory reporting, and monthly closing activities
• Assist in annual budget preparation and related presentations
• Support UK statutory reporting and audits
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements

• Qualified Accountant status (preferably CIMA or ACCA)
• Minimum 7 years of related experience and/or training
• Manufacturing industry experience utilizing standard cost systems
• ERP system experience
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookup)
• Highly detail oriented with strong organizational, documentation, and prioritization skills
• Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
• Motivation to achieve personal, team, and business goals
• Willingness and ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making, and to evaluate AI-generated outputs
