Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day corporate tax compliance delivery, meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Coordinate workflow across engagements and monitor budgets and timelines
  • Review junior staff work for accuracy before Manager sign-off
  • Identify issues and escalate complex or high-risk matters
  • Serve as day-to-day client contact, managing queries and updates
  • Build relationships with client contacts and ensure expectations are met
  • Apply technical tax knowledge to deliver compliant outputs
  • Conduct technical research and propose solutions for review
  • Stay updated on tax legislation and share knowledge within the team
  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures and engagement requirements
  • Identify risk issues and escalate appropriately
  • Support engagement processes from initiation through invoicing
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members
  • Perform initial reviews and support development with feedback
  • Assist efficient delivery by managing time and budgets
  • Contribute to achieving team utilisation and delivery targets

Key requirements

  • ACA (or equivalent) or CTA qualified
  • Experience in a corporate tax department within a practice environment
  • Strong technical tax knowledge and ability to apply it to compliance work
  • Good organizational and project management skills with multi-deadline capability
  • Ability to supervise and review junior staff with constructive feedback
  • Self-starter with initiative and escalation of complex matters when needed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal and client relationships
