Overview

In this role you will contribute to a brand-new greenfield project for a leading financial institution, building incrementing products in an agile setup. You will work primarily on Java on the JVM stack within a GCP cloud-first environment, collaborating with senior agile engineers. Your work aims to deliver robust, well-tested software that enables a new strategic business area. This is an opportunity to shape critical banking technology and learn in a fast-moving, investment-heavy environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver incrementing products for a greenfield project in an agile way
• Develop on a Java JVM stack with a cloud-first approach (GCP)
• Implement agile practices and contribute to high-quality, well-tested software (TDD and PP)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
• Learn from and work alongside senior agile engineers

Key requirements

• Commitment to agile methodologies with strong testing discipline (TDD and PP)
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills
• Experience with Java and JVM languages; JavaScript frameworks valued or willingness to cross-train
• Interest in cloud technologies and a GCP-first mindset
